Very nice. Looks modern, but nothing's coming up on a search for a potter with the initials VAM. It's not quite right for Boscastle, although it is a similar shape to their mugs.

It's similar to Christine Hopkins' mochaware, in the Wye Valley. Might be worth asking her.

Studio pottery mochaware jug - Vanessa Waller
Hi all. Does anyone recognize this studio pottery jug. Found in North Yorkshire, I believe (but please correct me if I'm wrong) the decoration is mochaware. There is an impressed mark just below the base of the handle but I'm afraid I can't make it out. The jug measures 11 cms tall x 8 cms in diameter at the base

I think we've had this before and it was a Welsh potter, Wye Valley, but I 'll find the reference. It looks similar to Charles Spacey's work in Wales but it's not his mark. And it's not the usual suspects of Boscastle, Rupert Andrews or Cyril Braunton.
Edited to add: It seems that this pot may be one of Vanessa Waller's. I think the stamp is VW even though the glaze makes it look like VT

I've found some sparse information of a potter in Wooler in Northumberland - Vanessa Waller - she specialized in Mocha Ware I think c2000-2010. Anyone got any examples of her work and more importantly her mark. This is the web address where the info.
