N. he replied to the first email. The second and third a few weeks later did not have a zip file - the small images were just inserted - assume he read them both and saw the photos and knew what I had. I did say the names of the pubs.. he knew ...no reply in four months.
Each one of these pubs represent at least a weeks work IMO

Re: Ian Gregory
I was just going back through some old files today and came across this image of Ian taken during the Private View of an exhibition at the Harlequin Gallery in September 2000.
The exhibition was a mixed show of his work and that of two other potters. The teapot is by Clare Sutcliffe, who is talking to Ian outside the gallery.

Re: Ian Gregory
Sad. He was a very, very good potter/sculptor as well. We bought a couple of pieces from him over twenty years ago. Lovely man. Sadly the pieces were so friable they never survived the rigours of house moves. He was a regular at Hatfield Art in Clay, and we always enjoyed looking at this displays. Always terrific work.RIP....

Re: Ian Gregory
That is a very unusual piece for Ian Gregory. Never seen anything but Salt glaze before.

Re: Ian Gregory
There are a couple of pieces on here that aren't saltglaze, ie, the green ash glazed beaker and the slip decorated 'angel'

Re: Ian Gregory
Ian Gregory was my Dad, and I can answer some of the questions in this thread. He started as a Potter in the 1970's and explored stoneware and salt glaze. My mum worked with him until 1979, doing a lot of the decorating. She did the small items on the drawers and the plants and people in the tall houses they made together. The carved copse of trees was thrown by dad, but carved and decorated by mum (Karen), the same for the dish with the flowers in blue and brown. Dads style changed as he began more sculptural work once he had more time, he brought 6 of us up once he and mum split up in 1980.
