Art deco earthenware bowl
Hello
I wonder if anyone would be able to help me identify the factory/workshop that produced this small bowl?
It is 12cm in diameter by 7cm high. Off white slip-cast earthenware with hand-painted green enamel and silver/platinum lustre.
The mark on the base appears to read '1933' above what may be a letter 'I'.
Any clues greatly appreciated!

Re: Art deco earthenware bowl
Strikes me as being from the Art Deco period, in which case 1933 would be the date.
Sorry, I don't know the manufacturer.

It is a sugar bowl from a teaset and it is something that I have seen in the past. The manufacturer might come to me but so far it hasn't!

Re: Art deco earthenware bowl
Are you sure it's earthenware? It's very similar to a Royal Stafford one that's on ebay at the moment (google: Royal Stafford Art Deco Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl), however, that's bone china.
