Had this one a while not found anything quite like it so thought I'd see if it rings any bells with anyone out there. There is some sort of feint mark on the wing but can't quite make it out possibly Mason but didn't turn anything up on a google so may not be.  Surrender

I had a Grayshott Pottery vase with an owl cut out in it that looked a bit like this

I've got a couple of similar animal/bird pieces that are by Otagiri, Japan. They've lost their diamond shaped OMC label.

spooky following on from your search I did a quick pottery owl search on the bay and lo and behold theres one listed. No details from lister on maker though unfortunately. Spooky that I should decide to take it out of the drawer its been buried in tonight Big Shock

with regards to Otagiri its certainly similar in style but mine seems more 'coarse' and 'rustic' in comparison so I dont think its that.

I was thinking Otagiri, even before I saw the picture. I had a couple that were similar, but were candle votives.

"A Peter John Product"
- but not sure if it's a retailer's or pottery's label.
