Eathenware? Double Handle Pitcher Jug
Any ideas on who made this double handle pitcher? Unable to identify by markings. I'm sure the last five characters read tonia. Above this, the markings 5/3, which does not mean anything to me. Can anyone help me?

Re: Eathenware? Double Handle Pitcher Jug
And it is stoneware rather than earthenware. Godden's says that Hillstonia was the wholesaler.

Re: Eathenware? Double Handle Pitcher Jug
Thanx all for your assistance. Since, ive found out that Hillstonia pottery was a product of Moira pottery company, that produced pottery between 1934-72. I'm not sure if G. A Goddens produced this pattern range No.9346, with the bark effect glazed interior. Apparently the company closed in 1972 and now a National Forest. My search, came accross a very interesting site that has a bundle of info. which might make interesting reading to some of you. www deltaarcheology.us/historic_ceramics.
