Marcus O'Mahoney
Naomi's Irish Potters' website reminded me of this amazing pot that I got from Saltbox Gallery in Helmsley in the North York Moors last year. It's made from incredibly rough, black stoneware and saltglazed. 7.2cm (height) 12.7cm (diameter). Unmarked.
Re: Marcus O'Mahoney
Has he stopped marking his pots or did he just forget on your bowl, Skip?

Re: Marcus O'Mahoney
I'll try and dig out one of his pots from under the house (not in an an archaeological way you understand) which probably has a mark.
I had an exhibition of his work in the past and someone bought a number of his pots, paid for them and never came back and I have no contact details. Doesn't often happen but what do I do with them?

Re: Marcus O'Mahoney
One of the paid for but not collected items from my Marcus exhibition.
It's a footed dish with wall hanging attached and the glaze has a lustre type appearance so difficult to photograph clearly.
Below are 3 thumbnail images that can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Re: Marcus O'Mahoney
Thinking back to my exhibition of Marcus O'Mahoney's work, I do recall that he had a tendancy more than most to forget to mark his work. Alternatively, he used the "Mike Dodd" method i. e. carefully impress your seal on a pot and then equally carefully cover it with glaze so it can't be seen.

Re: Marcus O'Mahoney
Although Marcus lives in Eire, he does sell in the UK but I don't know of anyone in Germany, who retails British potters these days.

Re: Marcus O'Mahoney
Besides the impressed seal mark above, I do have another of Marcus's pots with an incised mark with the date as shown below:-
It's MOM plus the date 2001 and might be of use to someone compiling this type of information.
