Made in Finland - signed A Paulin Empty Made in Finland - signed A Paulin

Can anyone help identify this piece? Signed A Paulin (?). Marked "Made In Finland" (see picture). It is large and has a great deal of gold leaf in the design - I have never seen so much gold leaf used in this way?
