Re: Dieter Kunzemann & Chris Harries - Evenlode and Coldstone Potteries
Yes I have one with a green glaze and we used to have a golden-glazed one like the original poster's, all with the crossed wheatstalks. I used to live in Kingham as a boy and would pass Evenlode Pottery when I cycled to Morton-in-Marsh (where there was and is an excellent toyshop). I stopped in there about four years ago. The pottery had closed as Dieter had died, but by chance his daughter was there. She told me that Dieter had been a prisoner-of-war in England, fell in love while he was here and took up pottery as a student of his father-in-law. I picked this up yesterday with some other pieces while clearing my late my mother's house.

Re: Dieter Kunzemann & Chris Harries - Evenlode and Coldstone Potteries
Examples of Dieter Kunzemann's marks; not all are in the Marks book -
Seems that Coldstone sometimes stamped an O behind or over the DK mark. Unknown why they did that, but possibly they were decorated by Kunzemann's wife.

A few slip patterns on Coldstone dishes (Chris Harries liked doing birds and animals; Dieter Kunzemann did some sgraffito pictures) -

Dieter Kunzemann, Coldstone pottery
A nice little dish by Dieter Kunzemann. The shape, colour and decoration all seem to complement each other perfectly.

Dieter Kunzemann, Coldstone and Evenlode Potteries
I would guess from the mixed clay that it’s an early Evenlode one

see Dorothy Kemp
A useful snippet of information via Paul Rice
many years ago I bought a "set" of Coldstone with jug and bowl marked with a DK and in a slightly different material. Margaret Leach told me they were by her good friend, Dorothy Kemp. I wrote to Dorothy who told me she did wheat ear decoration before Dieter Kunzerman and sent me her original seal which perfectly matched the DK signed "Coldstone" pots.

That's interesting, never even considered it could be by anyone else. The mark certainly looks more like Kemp's than Kunzemanns, although I have never seen any Kemp in this style?

Re: Dieter Kunzemann & Chris Harries - Evenlode and Coldstone Potteries
In guessing all of Kemps pieces have been attributed to Kunzemann. There might be an example in Aberystwyth or York collections

The information from Paul Rice should be used with caution.
