Sarah D'Arcy - Ross-on-Wye.
I've had this shelf sitting hippo in my cabinet for some time, so I thought I'd make a thread for this potter.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it.

Yes, the DNA tests were quite conclusive

Sheep - Sarah D'Arcy
I'm sure I've seen these in the local gift shop, but I can't remember if they're by a local hobby potter or Chinese import. If anyone else has seen them in garden centres or where-ever then I'll go with the latter. I have three. This is one of the smaller ones. The two others are door-stop sized. The 'jumper' continues underneath and seems to be quite a sandy clay or cement even. Unmarked.

Reminds me of Sarah D'Arcy, though it may be a long shot.

Thanks Potty. I see what you mean. Maybe an early version of hers?

Could be worth an email, I wondered if it could have been a trial piece.
She does a lot of comical pieces and the clay used looks similar.
She usually signs her pieces though I believe.

I will do that. Spotted a pig on her gallery page with very similar clay so looking positive.

Are you sure that's not a cardigan? In which case it would be Welsh.

Aha, I see. I thought you meant one of those horrid Christmas jumpers.
