Puigdemont Pottery slipware, Spain - not Chedzoy Potters
Picked up a little Chedzoy Bowl at the weekend. The mark on the underside is either a Flourished P or d depending on which way you look at it. Just wondered if anyone knows whose mark this is, most of my google searches for Chedzoy keep going back to John Harlow and its clearly not his mark :). He was there from 68-72 but I dont know how long Chedzoy itself operated. Any additional information greatly received, thanks.

Re: Puigdemont (Spain)

Re: Puigdemont (Spain)
The only mark is the P or d mark on the base. Item described as Chedzoy when purchased at auction, but I would not trust said auction house to give a correct identification as they have got stuff wrong in the past. Google searches of Chedzoy bring up virtually identical bowls on a number of different sites, my assumption was that they could not all be misidentifications and so Chedzoy seemed correct, but searches of Puigdemont also bring up very similar designs.

Fish Decorated Bowl - Puigdemont
Carboot this morning and just had to have this bowl, damaged i know, but for £1 i couldn't resist it. I know if it's anything of importance in the pottery world then you folk will identify it !!!. Size is Approx - 18cm across x 6.5cm high. What's nice about it is the Glaze, and also that the eye of the fish stands a little proud and looks Real . . Thank you .

Re: Puigdemont (Spain)
Puigdemont has been going for several generations. They are decorative pieces - mostly large plates for hanging on the wall - and value depends on how pretty the fish are. They sell on ebay for £0-£50.

Re: Puigdemont (Spain)
the pottery is only half an hour from the coast so they make a lot of fish designs but it's also quite rural so the fruit and veg pop up occasionally

Slipware Fish Bowl - Puigdemont pottery, Spain
Hallo all, I hope you are well.
I purchased this (earthenware/stoneware) bowl recently and initially thought it may be Italian, but now I'm not so sure. When looking for the mark the nearest I saw was Peter Lane and Dora Lunn. Looking at examples of both of these craftspersons, I suspect Dora Lunn is nearest, however I'm not certain. Does anybody recognise the style/mark? There is, what I thought was, a chip on the side, but on a closer look it might be that the glaze just did not cover this spot (sorry for blurred pic).
Thank you
Jack.

Fish-Decorated Platters, Signed but by who? Puigdemont.
Three lovely (in my opinion) deep platters or chargers, each with a pierced foot-rim for hanging. Terracotta bodies and very thickly glazed.
The larger two are 12" across, and the last one has an incised, stylised 'E' as well as the signature. Can anybody decipher the signature of who I'm guessing is a French potter?

Re: Puigdemont (Spain)
It’s Puigdemont pottery from Spain. Nicer than their usual fish dishes. Probably made for a special occasion

Thanks I thought it wasn't turkish despite the inscription. That's most helpful.
