diameter is 10cm and height is 5cm... lol i know it is Japanese but i preferred to learn more from you guy's

Looks like a Japanese stamp.
It's not an ashtray. There might b a Japanese word for this shape, but I'd simply list it as a small bowl.

Small bowl = kobachi but best to use "small bowl".
I suspect that they are handthrown like you say but they look to me like factory made rather than by an individual Japanese potter because the mark looks stylised to appeal to the Western market.
So a pair of Japanese shino glazed bowls with an impressed seal mark and that's all you can and need to say.

thanks john for the information.. i have learnt a know word for Japanese small bowl which is called kobachi :)

I wouldn't use it for that, personally. It would gum up the holes.
