Plate Quakenbrück en Allemagne depuis le 27 juin 1969"
Porcelain plate. Lovely glazes. Odd inscription on the base. I think this is a commemorative piece, so difficult to know where it came from.
Inscribed:
Robert M
Alençon
Quakenbrück
1969-1994
There's a Quakenbruck Avenue in the town of Alençon, France, and a Quakenbrück town in Germany. Neither appear to have potteries.
Too nice to just be an amateur piece, so probably a commission to mark an anniversary (death or 25th birthday?), but from where?

Ah, interesting. So Robert M might be the decorator.

Looks like it may be a glaze testing plate. Found a site with loads of them, each with 3 different glazes and their recipies.
