Whitefriars / Powell Decanter?
Hi Forumfolk,
My wife and I recently acquired this lovely decanter, along with a Whitefrairs Powell Trailed Lamp Vase, and we just arent sure whether it came from the same neck of the woods-
It stands approx 7" tall, has a ground pontil, is bell-shaped and has a wonderful opalescence to the glass- I know Whitefriars were producing similar Decanters, but I havent been able to find a match to this shape...any ideas from you more knowledgeable folk? :)
and here's the 1940s Whitefriars "lamp base" vase we got at the same time:

Hi the bottom vase looks good with the wider rim but there are an awful lot of the Woolworths copies around
