Tenmoku glazed Korean style bottle vase - bought from USA
The maker of this vase eludes me despite it having very clear and distinctive impressed marks. Purchase from the USA could be a clue as to the country of origin. Height 25cm.
Phew!! Seem to have managed the pictures, what a struggle.
Hope you can help with identification.
Thanks in anticipation.

I think that it is very likely to have been made in the States, if that is where you bought it from. It doesn't appear to me to be from Korea, Japan or the UK.

We do have some members from the States, who might be able to identify the mark, so don't give up just yet - I'll add USA to the title to try and help.
In the meantime now that you have mastered uploading images why not have a go with a few more objects!

I don't remember seeing a base finished like that before? Can anyone tell me about it?

Looks like the whole body is a white clay.

Tenmoku glazed Korean style bottle vase - BOUGHT FROM USA
I posted this topic a few weeks ago but am still struggling to identify the maker. It has very distinctive impressed seal marks. The body is made from a cream clay and is not as white as the photo's would indicate. Perhaps different size pictures would help.
Thank you. Mark

Re: Tenmoku glazed Korean style bottle vase - bought from USA
Hi, please keep to 1 thread per pot, but feel free to add pictures / info or "bump" the threads.
The marks are distinct, but there have been 1000's of studio potters in the UK, let alone the USA, so having a clear mark does not always lead to an ID.
By the looks of it I doubt it's by one of the more well known potters to be honest, I would guess a potter who exhibits fairly locally, may be worth Google'ing potters from the State where you bought it.
