Mid-century wall plate. German perhaps?
Nice big plate, 30cm diameter. The mark is inset in the photo - the mottled glaze covers the whole reverse of the plate. I can only make out an 'R' beneath the main mark, which could involve a T and a W. I might have thought Italian, but I know most of the main Italian marks I think! Maybe something to do with Vallauris? Help!

Any reason for that?

Or TMR. This one is doing my nut in. It's such a good plate, it absolutely must be track-downable! Oddly, the holes for hanging are at 4 0'clock to the mark, the way I've shown it in the photo. I did that because that way the little R was the right way up.

Reminds me of some Italian stuff I've seen, but I haven't seen this mark before, and I'd expect it to have hand written numbers and 'Italy' on the back, or a Made In Italy stamp.

I agree, but that's no kind of Italian mark I've ever seen either.
