Small (3 3/4" high) studio pottery mug in red earthenware with sgraffito leaping hares and stylised tree in earth tone glazes. Does not appear to be marked anywhere, looks to be of some age and by a skilled hand.
If Barry Flanagan did pottery....

A fairly run of the mill slipware jug . 18cm high. Anyone have any ideas on the mark??( apologies for poor focusing)

Had a thought . Could it be Wetheriggs? Seen several images of jugs etc with this design - although I realise it may be quite a popular way of slip decoration.
The marks for Wetheriggs that I've seen are not like this but with some hope the mark could be a 'W' ??

Yes . In the 'book' it appears the marks were always incised/ impressed on base , not at base of handles and no obvious use of initials or moograms

If I'm correct this mark popped up on here recently me thinks. If not who's pottery mark is this, thanks.

Because of the shape I guess. Didn't she have a potteries at Gunwalloe, Penhalvean Pottery between St Stithians & Redruth and now at Newlyn. I know where I have seen this mark and name, it was a few weeks back on Facebook British Studio Pottery page. Had feeling it was a local pottery before posting here, just couldn't remember.

I take this is a Newlyn piece from the 00s, Cheers again NaomiM.

The Marks book lists this mark as 1981- starting at Gunwalloe Pottery, Lizard, Cornwall to date - although I’m not sure she’s still using a mark, and the book doesn’t list her more recent version of this mark which is more angular.
No mention in the book of her potting at Newlyn

When I first saw this I initially believed it may have some age, but changed my mind upon seeing the base & incised mark, which I do not recognise. Any help with identifying the potter much appreciated, thank you.

It does look a bit 'fussy' to be a modern studio piece.

I certainly didn’t see that Naomi but I’ll have a look!
I used the BISPM today - excellent tool!
I identified a mark by Debbie Prosser - totally by mistake but … it’s great when you find them!!!
Done message then realised that this ID is probably the wrong venue!!!
