And finally, for today at least, another animal related pottery id request. A 9 1/4" flat back figure of Saint Francis in red earthenware with green and white glazed decoration. IMO It's folk art modelling looks both Eastern European and British at the same time?! Thought a clear-ish signature would make it easy to identify, but no luck yet  

This is a long time later, but I am pretty sure this is by Romola Farquharson. She was the wife of the sculptor John Bunting for a while, but I have no other biographical information. All I can say is her pieces seem to be very rare and this is lovely. I have another figure in terracotta by her, with a paper label identifying it.
