Akiko Hirai hits the Big Time with a solo show at Goldmark Gallery which sold out very fast indeed. The usual superb video from Goldmark is a walkthrough of hey exhibition. Over half an hour long, but worth the look!

Re: Akiko Hirai
A few nice pieces in Partridges auction. I reckon they’ll go for at least double their estimates; her shows sell out very quick

There was a piece of hers in auction recently i think it was Chorleys , the condition report said that it was unstable and pieces were falling off when handled, is this common with her creations?.

Depends on when the owner bought it. If it was fresh out of the kiln then there may be loose pieces that Akiko didn't get round to cleaning off (my guinomi has some loose pieces inside it). Otherwise it's a Second or early piece.
