My brother (in Wrexham) had a big collection of this pottery.
Nice stuff, colouful, and very similar to the Isle of Wight potteries.

Does your brother know who the potter/potters were? Trying to find the potter who made Brynmawr Pottery (operating in the 60s) and the decoration is very similar to Llanfair ym Muallt Pottery so there may be a link
