Help identifying this swan?
My mother dropped off this swan, it's been in the family for several generations. Best guess is it came into the family 1890-ish.
There are no branding or manufacturing stamps on it anywhere but it's very detailed and intricate in design.
Any ideas on how I can identify it?

Re: Help identifying this swan?
Could we have a photo of the base, please.
I have a lot of swans so can discount the common ones like Dartmouth and Sylvac. Yours has a lot of detail, like the feet, so possibly Victorian. From the chip on the feather it looks like it might be parian ware (slip moulded) - is it fairly light weight? If it's heavy, and porcelain, then I'd say German, but if it's parian then I'd say possibly one of the Staffordshire factories.
Does it have a coat of white paint?

Unfortunately my mother has taken it back home with her, so can't get a photo of the base right now, but the base is white with what looks like black smudging, like someone has tried to write on it but its been smudged out? Not sure that's intentional. I would probably say more lightweight than heavy, but still has some weight to it. Yes, it does appear to be coated in this creamy white paint?

Re: Help identifying this swan?
A base shot would help to narrow it down, but for now I would guess 19th Century Staffordshire parianware rather than German porcelain.
