Have seen this vase marked 856/1 "Foreign" described as Scheurich from 1950s. Any thoughts please, John

Re: 1950s Strehla
Thank you, would the date be right or would this be 60s?

Re: 1950s Strehla
Fairly sure late 50s / early 60s
east german pottery followed WGP shapes of the late 1950s, e.g. the X-shape was introduced by Bay ca.1958. Glazewise the vase is a copy of a D&B decor.

Re: 1950s Strehla
I don't remember reading about these East German copies before.
Were many West German factories copied?
