Next sale from Alistair Hawtin's collection
He's just posted this on Facebook:
Information for those of you interested in pottery. The next batch of pots from my collection are being sold at Ewbanks of Surrey on 26th-28th June
The last one near bankrupt me so I might be avoiding this one:ask:

Re: Next sale from Alistair Hawtin's collection
I didn't know that they were his but I have seen them on the internet and they are a dull bunch of bits and bobs.
Of course I would say that if I didn't want any of you to bid against me, so you are going to have to trust me.
There might be a few good lots for someone who was happy to list cheap pots on Ebay, I suppose.

Thank you sp, I feel much better (but I might take a look, just in case...)
Re: Next sale from Alistair Hawtin's collection
There some similar lots in their last sale, which I thought might have come from Mr. H, small bits of Winchcombe etc.
I was thinking of going then to have look and possibly bid but they said that they wouldn't allow viewing during the sale. Leaving in the M25 morning rush didn't really appeal, so I passed.

They are at the very back end of the sale on the second day. Must agree with Studio-Pots really.Sort of Stuff you see on Ebay on a regular basis.
My heart sank when they had an Aldermaston item as Alan Caiger Smith. The mark is illustrated, and its clearly not his.
Alistair Hawtin must have had a very large loft....
