Seems she's changed her style and her mark - from the Oxford Ceramics Fair 2015

Not many potters change their style that much and I bet she hasn't taken many of her customers with her.

The pots are still functional but rather than being in an English pretty earthenware tradition they are now functional Japanese style wares that suggest wood-firing, although she does in fact fire using a gas kiln. I have not heard of her before you loaded the images today but they do look very interesting from my point of view.

Harriet Coleridge has been firing pots in one of the Oxford Anagama Kilns this year. She has recently had an exhibition at Wytham Studios near the kiln site as part of the Oxfordshire Art Weeks. Picked up two jugs and a bowl by her, (and a guinomi by Robin Walden)

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me with this marks, looks like an Aldermaston Jug but possibly from a potter who left? May have it the wrong way round?

We really need a photo of the pot itself, not just the mark, but it’s by ex-Aldermaston potter Harriet Coleridge when she set up at Ewelme Pottery near Oxford. She’s now moved on to soda glazed porcelain.
We have a separate thread for Harriet so I’ll move it in due course.

Via the Oxford Anagama kiln at Wytham Woods, which had a public open weekend over Easter. Harriet Coleridge and Robin Walden have been firing in the new small kiln.
Harriet said the noodle bowl was fired last year at a wood fired kiln in France. It’s the same shape as the one above which was fired in Wytham Woods but the difference is startling.
