This jug looks to be from the 60s-70s, but the pottery might still be in operation as I found this online:
Crochendy Tywyn Pottery

Crochendy just means Pottery. So the Crochendy in Tywyn is not the same Crochendy as the one in Pwllheli!

Looks like an Oriental piece - especially the glaze on the inside. Maybe Korean or Vietnamese.

I'd have said British, mark rings a bell, but can't remember why.

Ah, I see. I just asked because I've been looking at Welsh studio potteries but can't find anything about this pottery online, so I was wondering where else you'd seen the mark.

Is there a special name for this type/color glaze with the red in it? I'm wondering b/c I have a piece with the same coloring, only not the same mark. ?? Thanks for any info if you will.

I've seen it referred to as Flambe, but that's just the red colour. Technically it's an ash glaze with small amounts of added copper. In reduction firing the glaze turns red. With incomplete reduction there is a mixture of red and green. or all green glaze. Sometimes the green is referred to as Celadon glaze, but it can also be a muddy greenish brown.
Jun glaze is with traces of iron instead of copper. Again, with reduction firing you'd get the red Flambe, or a mix of blue and red (or purple-red) or just blue.

Found an example of the mark with a label and stamp, so no doubt who it's by

Naomi is the Sherlock Holmes of the studio pottery world - I never fail to be impressed. You should do a PhD - seriously
Re: John & Anne Davies - Gwynedd Crochendy Pottery - Wales
I have one too. Could it be Trefor Owen? Probably wrong Crohendy "He moved to Maentwrog and set up the Crochendy Twrog Pottery in 1974 where he still lives"

It has to be post 1974, as that's when the old counties merged to form Gwynedd.

Re: John & Anne Davies - Gwynedd Crochendy Pottery - Wales
I beg your pardon. I can now see its the old Caernarfonshire, so it's PRE 1974.
