Candleholders S&P HT & MD - Stephen Pearce Ireland
Hi
There were three of these and the third one held the clearest mark of S&P or something very close to it. The two larger had the same initials whilst the smaller has MD. Does anyone recognise them?

Re: Stephen Pearce Pottery, Ireland
Just lucky. Spotted one of their white plates with the wavey edge and brown spiral on the weekend. The dots between the S&P looked like a shamrock and a quick search of google for Irish potteries led me to the right one.

Re: Stephen Pearce Pottery, Ireland
The faint SP mark with a shamrock between the letters is for Stephen Pearce's Shanagarry Pottery in County Cork, Ireland. The PF will be the initials of the individual potter. I'd guess that the ink-stamped S might mean it's a second quality item.

Thank you very much for the info! I really appreciate it!

Stephen Pearce Pottery Ireland
This pot has a very striking glaze - it is fully glazed on the inside and has an S four dots and then I think it's PAB?

Stephen Pearce Pottery, Ireland.
The AB will be a date stamp but I don't have a list of their codes.

Small pot, signed SP + MD. - Stephen Pearce
Another of my 'is it hobbiest or professional' pieces. This one is probably an ink pot or brush-washer. It is well made and very simply decorated, and I'm guessing it's from the 1980s-1990s.
The MD is likely the potters initials, and I'm wondering if the triangle of dots between the S and P represent a known pottery or if it's just a hobbiest trying to 'big-up' a piece made in his shed (Shed Pottery? How's that for a generic term for hobby pottery pieces?).
