Thanks. The shape is similar to your cup and saucer on the "MF" thread. I'm wondering it that's where the decorator got their blanks from.

I've tried thepotteries.org list, but not found a factory called Dolphin, so it might be the pattern name. There is a Dolphin China based in Japan. I don't know if they were importing blanks to a decorator in the UK.
As with your other cup & saucer, it looks 1930s-50s in date.

I have seen other designs bearing the same mark so definitely not the design. I was aware of the Japanese company and to be completely honest thats what I thought I was buying lol. I have found quite a number of listings for dolphin china made in england during the course of the day but like you cannot find any factory using that name.
