No idea, not one I recognise.
Reminds me a bit of the glaze on Ed Wills pot, also remind me a bit of Derek Davis.

I bought it in a charity shop in South Lincolnshire because the glaze looked interesting........... and I thought, "Potty will definitely know."

Js or fs , there was a jane barker (Nee Searle) in the book , but work not similar unless she did different styles , but too long a shot I guess, the glaze looks so familiar .

I've ruled out Barker/Searle and the glaze looks familiar because it is used by a few potters that we all know as well as this person. It's no big deal really, as I bought it to go in my "Bargain Bin" that got a little empty at my "Open Weekend" at the end of June.

Re: JS mark (not Jane Searle) - Judith Swannell
Hi guys i know this is an old link, but I have just bought two very large charges at auction with this mark cataloged as jane searle who was a very local girl hemingford cambridge, working with stone and china. And they have had a lot of her work come through, and this explains why it turns up a lot in south lincs as she worked for a number of years 80s-90s at cambridge pottery for the scotts.

It does look like Jane Barker/Searle's mark in Yates-Owen.

Thanks eshearm and I would be interested in any reply you get.
I can't remember why I said that I had ruled her out but it was a year ago.

Large stoneware bowl JS? - Jane Searle? - Judith Swannell
Nice spattered gold effect round the rim. Could be JS Sf ?
Re: JS mark (not Jane Searle) - Judith Swannell
Was out and about in Kent today and came across a woman selling vases and bowls with this glaze combination and the painted mark. Her name was Judith Swannell.

I'd say it's definitely the same mark as Brin's, so Judith it is.

Maybe I should have taken a picture of Judith's stand at the Crafts Fair I visited but you can't really when you're not going to buy anything.
Probably best to email her but I think the answer will be yes.
