Pewter or Gunmetal coloured Vase
Could you please help me to 'id' this vase which is 11cm high. It resembles the work produced Prinknash Abbey Pottery, the body is red earthenware and the glaze is similar, both inside and out. The potting seems to be a bit finer than Prinknash.
The base has a clear incised mark which has been emphasised with glaze. Any idea's?

Re: Pewter or Gunmetal coloured Vase
As it's got an oily sheen to the black glaze it could be Dicker or Silchester ware.

Might be BH for Brickhurst, although they normally stamped their pots Brickhurst Pottery
Knights of Tintagel also did a black glaze, as well as Merlin Pottery.
