Large orange vase: Dutch? Belgian?

I bought this from a lady who told me her Dutch husband had brought it back from the Netherlands many years ago. The colour looks a bit Dutch, but the shape looks Belgian (although the decor doesn't). There might be a faint mark on the base, but if there is I can't read it. Another thought is that it might be Vallauris. If not, then what? The bottom half is unglazed red clay, by the way.
