Ruth Faktor was born in Israel in 1937. She studied ceramics with A. Doctor and Z. Guri, (Israeli sculptor & ceramicist respectively). From 1973 to 1977 Ruth studied at the Ramat-Gan Art School.

These art tiles are made of clay from the region. Scenes are based on ancient cities in Israel. Tiles are signed J. Ruth (on the front, underneath the glaze). The artist may also be known as J. Ruth Faktorowitsch/Faktorowicz

Horizontal tile is 7.25" x 5" and the vertical tile is 7.75" x 5.75"
