Big Unknown Effigy Jar Danish Modern?
Any help here??
Unknown mid century studio pottery jar.
18" tall, 12" wide.
Looks Scandinavian, unsigned.
All handmade. Gunmetal glaze with texture.

It might be a copy of an Etruscan or North African canopic jar.

So probably a copy of an original work, as it is most certainly not African or authentic ethnic American.

Probably a modern copy. The base looks like the pot has been wheel thrown, where as the original are probably made by the pinch pot or coiled method.studio-pots wrote:So probably a copy of an original work.
