Ed Schrock
Teapot inscribed on the base Ed Schrock and a fish
Biblical quotation round the middle:
"Jesus said - If anyone thirst, let him come to me and drink." - John 7:37
Very little about this potter on the web except that his pots often have biblical inscriptions and prunts. He donated several pots to the Centenary celebration auction for Hesston College, KS, so he is either a local or an member of their Alumni. He is also mentioned by ceramic artist Leisha Hiester from Michigan, who attended the Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids "[and] worked with Sam Butcher who influenced her in porcelain and Ed Schrock as a full time production potter in stoneware."

Re: Ed Schrock
Spotted a few, but they don't have the same impact as the ones with the quotations. Personally, I like mottoware of all kinds.

Reply from Leisha Hiester.
If anyone has any more questions about Ed Schrock she's happy to help.

Ed Shrock and his wife Irene are wonderful people. I worked for them in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His teapots were one of the most desired pieces. Every piece was made by hand by Ed. He was a high school pottery teacher. When he retired from that career they opened Down to Earth pottery & created scripture pottery that was shipped all over the world.
They are devout in their faith. They are Mennonite. Mennonites are often confused with Amish, but they are not. They are known as peaceful, pacifists.
When Ed & Irene retired again, they served as missionaries in some 3rd world countries teaching pottery. I believe they have returned to the Colorado Springs area where they are still active Mennonites.
I asked her about the pin dishes made by Down to Earth, as I have one. They have a lovely glaze, with a puddle of glass inside:
Leisha Hiester wrote:Ed sold Down to Earth to Les Kitchen when he retired. The items he makes now are his. Yes, they make the glass inside small dishes.
Most of the glazes were developed by Ed Shrock.
