Art Nouveau pottery vase idetification help
HI,
I purchased this art nouveau design pottery vase at a boot sale over the weekend. The vase is in good condition and has a raised base mark that has been extremely difficult to decipher. Hopefully someone will be able to recognise either the design or mark. The last 5 letters look like -ector with the first letter illegible and a registration 423674 or similar which dates it around 1904 which is as it might be. I am not sure if all the numbers are right but seem to be as likely.
I have tried all the first letter combinations but again most of the letter designations are partly guesswork.
Thanks,
Bryn

Re: Art Nouveau pottery vase idetification help
The photo isn't showing up. Can you try again.
NB we need a photo of the mark, and one of the vase itself.

Re: Art Nouveau pottery vase idetification help
The base mark does not photo well, but I think the figures on my first message are fairly close to the mark except the first letter of the name.
Thanks,
Bryn

Second line looks like it could almost be Fresno (city in California). Or xxxx No. 423674

Here comes another effort. Very difficult to get a good contrast. Low speed with a tripod seems best. I do think the number could be 428674 which I think does represent the right period in time for Art Nouveau.

Re: Art Nouveau pottery vase idetification help
Looksl ike Hector, then Reg xxx (presumably registered patent number) 492674 or something like that. Implying this is a late 19th Century design.
There are lists of patent numbers somewhere, where you could probably track down this vase.

Might be French. Looks like a slipcast factory piece.
