Yates-Owen book suggests this mark is for Stephen Munday, Pear Tree Pottery. c.1990s

There are a couple of pieces of Stephen Munday's work on the internet that sold at Bonhams in 2007 but they don't look like this.
However, although you would assume that the auctioneer would know, the bowls look very different to each other with one looking very much like Mary Rich's work. So whether they are actually his work or not I couldn't say.

Not on Facebook so I don't know but I did come across a S M involved with education in East Anglia and it isn't him.
