Please help ID this French Dish Empty Please help ID this French Dish

hello, i'd be very greatful if someone could help identify this dish
it measures 10 x 15 inches and has quite a distinctive mark on the back in the form of a stork/crane type of bird, 'made in france' along the bottom and 'ref 22/4' at the top.

Looks like traditional provincial French pottery. The stork mark may indicate it was made by a rural potter based in the Alsatian region of Eastern France.

if you google" Poterie artisanale culinaire d'Alsace " and cigogne, for good measure you should find it a selling site . Spot on Naomi

now this next question might sound stupid, but is this just a serving dish or would it be suitable for using in the oven for potato gratin etc?

Looks like earthenware rather than stoneware so I wouldn't risk it in the oven
