thanks very true naomim.... have been trying to get my eye on the base but no luck.. i did emailed the dearler which i saw one is on ebay just to see if he or she has a picture of the base so i can compare it with my tea bowl.

Grayshott Pottery, which now runs Dartington, does use darker clays in some of it's ranges, but I wouldn't expect it with Dartington's 'Ruskin' glaze.

yeah it does... am not certain myself i do not know but i did contact that dartington company i saw on google and sent them some pictures, still awaiting their reply.

The base it not like Dartington pots when made at Dartington or since they were made in Surrey.
Like it or not I think Dannd got it right - cheaply made modern Chinese import from a teaset, lacking the teapot and the other cups.

Well you could be right but am keeping my opitions open on this one, if really is cheaply made then How be sure to find another one soon. The base is not like dartington having looked at the base properly am not certain is from far east maybe european...

I have always believed that it was a cheap Chinese import made yesterday and Dannd has confirmed that it my mind but obviously if you wish to disagree that is your option.
