unknown studio pottery mark ...
i wonder if anybody could help with this unknown studio pottery mark.
i bought the pieces in Germany, but have no idea neither which country nor which time this could be from.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Re: unknown studio pottery mark ...
The tea set does have an Oriental aspect in that the cups have no handles and the type of handle on the teapot was originally used there. However, if it had been Oriental there would not have been 6 cups.
To me it looks European and I mean mainland Europe rather than the UK, as the lid on the teapot and sugar bowl are a design that I've never seen here.
I suppose it is likely to be from Germany or, if not, from another Northern European/Scandanavian country but that is as far as my knowledge takes me I'm afraid.

this copper reduction-oxidation glaze was mainly used in the 1950s, as far as i know, by Uhlemeyer in Hannover and by Grootenburg...
Re: unknown studio pottery mark ...
We've had this mark before, but so far unidentified. I would have thought Scandinavian rather than Oriental.
