It should be noted that besides McIntosh's association with Sam Maloof, he was also closely associated with MCM ceramist Rupert Deese. McIntosh and Deese shared a studio in Claremont (California) for many years. Indeed, some of Deese"s work is nearly indistinguishable from McIntosh's.
