what can one use this dish bowl for? could be use as a cake stand because of the four holes which am guessing perhaps it might have a missing part....

i was looking on google for similar item as this.. was just been curious how is been used with the four holes inside... because am thinking of using it for Christmas, will the glazing allow such as is tin glazed?

advent bowl ,  4 candles for the 4 advent sundays before christmas, the 1st candle will be lighted this year on Dec 1, 2013

maker possibly Carstens / Goldscheider, early 1960s

This one doesn't belong to the Carstens/Goldscheider Alaska series from ca. 1960 (pieces with model numbers starting with an "A").

As the "A" on this piece looks like an "Å", it could be from scandinavian origin. Just a guess.
