Richard Daniels, Anglesey

We visited the North Wales Potters shop in Conwy recently. We met Richard Daniels there, who was very helpful in introducing us to the Potters' work on sale including Beverley Bell Hughes.

Richard's studio is in Anglesey. He studied ceramics at Harrow School of Art when Colin Pearson was a visiting lecturer.

I bought this salt glazed stoneware vase which was fired on its side stacked on shells. The shells disintegrate in the kiln leaving a characteristic mark.
