Spiral Mark - Mike Labrum? Empty Spiral Mark - Mike Labrum?

You would think this mark was easy to look up but I can't pinpoint it to an exact potter as there are similar marks in my book.  Closest I have got is Judith Gilmour but looking in my book the wheel shape sits in a square rather than a circle as shown on my piece.  I am sure Naomi will know this Laughter Laughter

It isn't like the work that she is known for but her using that type of mark goes back to the period 1960 to 1980. Therefore images of known work from that period will need to be seen to give an opinion. I'll see if I can find anything.

According to a couple of listings on auction houses Judith signs her pieces 'Gilmore' in paint.

This looks like Mike Labrum, Spiral Pottery.

I've not been able to find any images of Judith Gilmour's early work and I agree that it looks different to the images of Mike Labrum's work that are on the net............ so nothing to really link it to either potter, as yet.

I still say it's Mike Labrum, Spiral Pottery. Looking on google he has a diverse range of styles and clay, and the mark looks right. Plus it looks British - the sort of clay and glaze used by Grayshott, etc.
