Studio Pottery Pitcher or Ewer decorated with a delicate floral decoration over an oatmeal coloured glaze.
Could you please try if possible to id this incised monogram, letter A

It is difficult to tell from the images but it wouldn't surprise me if this was factory made rather than by an individual studio potter. The scratched mark looks more like a quality control mark rather than an individual potter's mark.

Looks like the sort of clay and glaze used by Shelf Pottery and a couple of the Welsh potteries.
- A for Abaty Pottery, maybe? Although they usually use and ink stamp.

Thanks for that but it doesn't sway me either way. However, I would still be very surprised if the A is to identify the maker(s) to the public.
