it's quite well made but i've got serious problems even to locate the origin and age...

Bourne Denby, maybe?
It has a 1930s-50s look about it..

Don't think it is sorry, The clay looks too dark, unless it's in shadow in the picture.
and not a shape I've ever seen. Agree on 1930s though.

I agree that it isn't Denby.

It is rather odd, as the glaze and shape suggest 1930s but the stoneware body looks to me more studio pottery than factory and later than the style/glaze.

I've seen Bay and possibly Belgium pieces with that sort of glaze, so I'd say German. But would that make it c.1960s?
