Tube neck flat sided vase, J mark - African, Japanese or Israeli?
Hello, Does anyone have ideas as to the origin or maker of my vase, I am guessing it is possible Chinese/Japanese just because of the look of it but I really have no idea. There is an impressed mark to the base but have had no luck in finding it so any help identifying this vase would be greatly appreciated.

Looks to have a bit of an African influence in the incised decoration and the colour of the clay. I'm wondering if the mark is Islamic.

Hi Naomi, Thanks for responding, I'll have to do some investigating into your thoughts & see if anything similar crops up :)

Think this is most likely from the Africa area, had no joy in finding anything similar as yet but as you mentioned the colouration/clay does look to be African, just going to have to keep looking :)
