Does anybody recognise this vase please. It has a silky satin feel/finish. A number 37 on the base, thanks.

I think this may be 1920s-30s, Sylvac, although Crown Ducal or CrownDevon also spring to mind.

Thanks Naomi, I will check those names you've given and appreciate your help: )
Funny when I got home today I googled images of mottled vases and within those a couple of Bretby vase images came up (never heard of them, but they are lovely) I got quite excited by the age, but they are stamped and have white bases. The problem with me is, I like everything and should start collecting one thing.
