Jan Gabrhel, chlum u třeboně

Hi there, this is my first post and I just want to know if this vase is a Sarpanveda design or something else?

Lovely vase and great design. It is Czech, designed by Jan Gabrhel and made at Chlum u Trebone.

There were a few other shapes made too - they would make a fantastic group if you could find them.

a vase designed by the czech glass designer jan gabrhel (B.1930) for the czechoslovakian glassworks chlum u třeboně. different shapes has been produced with this pattern.
as far as i know a design from 1967

gabrel studied at the Zelezny Brod glass school from 1946-50.

his design has been awarded at the Milan Triennale in 1960, two gold medals at the Liberec Trade Fairs (1965 & 1967)and (what a name for an award) the "outstanding design of the year award" (1973 & 1986), or the "outstanding product price by the ministry of industry in 1980"...

Jan Gabrhel's designs has been exhibited all over the world, for example the World Expositions in Montreal in 1967 and Osaka in 1970.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. It is Ruby red with a polished rim and decorative gilding, height is roughly 300mm (12").

I have virtually same vase (slightly different shape) and as yet have no attribution. Seen a few but no one seems sure on origin. Borske was my guess too.
