It's not often I get a surprise when I turn a pot over. I don't always know what to expect, but I certainly wasn't expecting this.
I know a few potteries produced dishes with these glass centres. But I didn't know that Marc had - first I've seen.
This one is 7.25 inch diam.

Just picked up this Charles & Di wedding commemorative Mug/tankard.
A really nice item and I think one of the better wedding mugs I've seen.

Sorry for the massively belated reply to you Rochelle but I only found this forum last night..

The why is..

Because I started primary school.. which led dad to create the original face wearing a school cap.. this developed into a range of faces including clowns, cowboys and even one offs like me as a portly gentleman when I was in a school production of Dickens Christmas Carol..
