Very nice.
The monogram on the lid looks 19th century, and the colour of the stoneware is not the bluish grey of 20th century pieces, and the moulding is reminiscent of English Georgian feldspathic stoneware, so I have no problem believing the date is original.

thats what i found so far:
it is a moulded german pottery relief beer stein
the german name for these moulded steins seems to be "modelkrug"
it's supposed to be from regensburg or the westerwald region
the date fits with this kind of steins
but it is an early one
