Despite having a clear "HVC" stamp, have not been able to find out who made this piece (I'm thinking their name is likely to be "van" something-or-other, rather than a middle name starting with "V"). Has rather an unusual design of lid, but cannot find anything else like it. The glaze is gloss red with a fine black fleck. Overall height is approx 6", diameter 5". Any ideas?
