Hi Nik, thanks for your comments. I have several pieces of Wetheriggs/Schofields pottery, which is quite common in the North of England where I live. This particular item was acquired recently in London and I must admit it does not have the feel of Wetheriggs, but I could be proved wrong.

The style of slip decoration looks similar to Dunster and Minehead. I'm wondering if it's an apprentice who's gone on to set up their own pottery.
